Massachusetts Insurance
Progressive Insurance Hits Massachusetts
Their claims seemed like a bit much to swallow until I gave them a try.

In 2009, Massachusetts finally began to join the rest of the country in opening up competition in the auto and motorcycle insurance industry. Once they started to get out of the way, new companies started offering coverage here in Mass.

During that year, I was contacted by a fellow who was working with a then new Progressive agent, First American Insurance Agency of Chicopee, MA. They were seeking inroads to the motorcycle community here in Western Massachusetts. We worked together to create a marketing campaign here on our site and began our business relationship.

A short time later, I was contacted by Kim Julius (on on the left in the above photo), one of the Agents at FAIA, who was looking for an oppotunity to quote my polcy for me. I had just renewed my policy for the year so I told her to be sure to contact me in 2010.

In the mean time, my good friend Tim Aloisio of the Springfield Republican, took the bait and informed me he'd saved a ton of money on his Harley. For the first time in my life I was actually looking forward to renewing my insurance!

After the first of the year, Kim e-mailed me as promised once again asking for an opportunity to earn my business. I spoke to Christine and we decided to give it a go.

Within 24 hours of faxing over my prior year's policy, we had a quote for 2010. I immediately assumed either she'd quoted us for 6 months (as the Progressive website tends to do) or reduced my coverage. Man was I wrong!

Kim sent over the coverage sheets so I could compare apples to apples. She hadn't only quoted me for a full year, she'd upped most of my coverage from the prior year and she did it for considerably less money!

As you can imagine, it took about 30 seconds for me to say HELL YES, SIGN US UP!!! 25 of those 30 seconds were used to pick  myself up off the floor after I passed out!

If you're up for renewal, give these folks a chance to earn your business. I pomise they will!

Though this article reads like an advertisement, it's not. Seriously! As I state in the article, FAIA is an advertisor of ours and I'm going to encourage them to place a banner ad on this page That said, this article was written to share my experience working with them.
