We were looking forward to this for two weeks though getting there would prove much tougher than we had hoped.

The event was slated to begin at 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, our daughter had a party that ran until 5:00 so we resigned to the fact that we'd be a little late. Upon picking up my daughter, I received a phone call from Christine informing me that our Son had cut his finger at work and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I dropped my daughter off at home and we went down to check on him on our way out of town.
We both feared one or both of us would wind up in the hospital with our son. Fortunately, the cut wasn't too bad and when properly wrapped, he was good to go. Off to Easthampton and just a little late!
We were heading through Westfield when we realized we'd forgotten the tickets. It was just going to be one of those nights. We headed back home and were finally on our way.
We arrived at the event a little more than an hour late. Fortunately, they had just started serving dinner so I guess our timing wasn't too bad... We were greeted by Sylvia and she showed us to our table.
Dinner was fantastic. They served a great combination of food buffet style including beef tips, chicken, and some great sides.

As we ate, were were gazing around the room and were very pleased with what we saw. There was a great crowd (in excess of 100 people), and the facility there was quote nice. So often I find these types of halls lacking in upkeep. Certainly not the case here.
The room was nearly full with a sea of black leather vests. We began to meander around after dinner meeting folks in the riding group. We eventually settled in with Travelin' Tim and his wife Trish and enjoyed a few adult beverages while we talked about the coming season.
A short while after dinner the music began. Chris and I shared a slow dance before the raffles began. I have to say, the raffles they had were impressive. They had a 50/50 raffle, a

main raffle which included a big screen TV, a grill, and a GPS, as well as a table raffle. This was in addition to giving out a door prize and hosting a Chinese Auction. The door prize was a hand painted saw provided by Dori, one of the legion riders.
We had donated a set of riding glasses, and a Cool Bike Rides T-shirt for the table raffle. The glasses were certainly a hit. In fact, I received a couple of requests for the same glasses.
The event was very well organized, the company and food were great, and overall, the Winter Bash was a great time. If you know one of the Legion Riders, be sure you attend with them next year!
