Ladies Only Spring Ride
TBD

I will be planning a ride this Spring just for us ladies so we can get some time out on our own! I will be announcing details on this ride shortly so keep checking back. Please check out our sponsor for this ride, Christine of Her-Motorcycle.com is excited to sponsor an all womens ride as her site was developed for the woman rider.

NOTES FROM 2008's RIDE

Well, this has been a long time coming but I wanted to share with you the All Ladies Ride I led on May 17.  Ian and I had not pushed it as much as I would have liked with the kids and work we nearly forgot the ride.

However, we were both down at the Powder Mill School parking lot nice and early with donuts for anyone that might show.  It was a beautiful day with a slight breeze, great for a ride.  As you may know the plan was to head up Route 20 to the Prime Outlet Mall in Lee, Ma and return to the schools via Routes 8 and 57.   Well the time was drawing near to leave and we had no one showing up, but, just a few minutes before departure time, I had a single taker for the ride.

Judith, a rider out of Holyoke, had decided to join me. We left shortly thereafter and headed up to the Outlet mall on the planned route.  We had a wonderful ride, great weather and even better company.  We took our time walking around the shops, window shopping mostly, then we enjoyed a nice lunch together.  Seeing that neither of us were big shoppers, we only stayed at the outlets for 1 ½ hours or so before heading back home.

We headed back down Route 20 to Route 8, taking it nice and slow so that we could enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.  Judith had never ridden these roads before and I wanted to insure that we had time to enjoy what mother nature has to offer.  I made a special stop for her on our way through Granville at the Granville Country Store.  We both bought some of their famous cheese and stretched our legs a bit.  We continued heading down Rt 57 until I got Judith back to the schools at which point we separated ways for the day.

I was very excited to see that Judith and her husband both had attended the ride that Ian had led in July for Popoli Honda.  I was on kid duty so had been unable to ride with the group.

I enjoyed the ride so much, that I might like to consider making this an annual event and would like to send a personal invitation to Judith to join me again along with any other lady riders who might like to join us.
